Chemical peels are an advanced skin resurfacing treatment designed to rejuvenate the skin by removing dead skin cells and promoting healthy cell turnover. Using a blend of active acids and enzymes, this treatment gently exfoliates the skin to reveal a smoother, brighter, and more even complexion.
Chemical peels are a light, non-abrasive exfoliation treatment with no downtime and no actual peeling of the skin. The term “peel” refers to the process, but scientifically, superficial peels do not cause visible peeling — though you may notice very slight flaking as the skin renews.
These gentle yet effective treatments are ideal for improving:
The result: fresh, glowing skin that feels revitalised, hydrated, and beautifully renewed.
Before recommending any chemical peel, we provide a full consultation and skin analysis to understand your skin’s needs and concerns. During this consultation, we discuss realistic outcomes and what you can expect from the treatment.
We also use the Fitzpatrick Skin Scale, a tool that classifies skin types based on their natural colour and how they react to sun exposure. This helps us determine which peels are safe and effective for your specific skin type, ensuring the best results with minimal risk.
By combining a personalised consultation with the Fitzpatrick scale, we can select the most suitable peel for your skin, achieving a glowing, healthy, and rejuvenated complexion.
Here’s a guide to the peels we use:
Does a Chemical Peel Hurt?
No, most clients feel a mild tingling or warm sensation during the peel. Some stronger peels may feel slightly more intense, but all treatments are carefully monitored for comfort.
What to expect after a peel?
It’s normal for your skin to feel slightly red, warm, or sensitive immediately after a peel. You may also notice dryness, mild itching, or slight irritation over the next day or two — all part of your skin’s natural renewal process.
Proper aftercare is essential and will be provided following your treatment. Ideally, we recommend using our homecare kits to maximise results. If these aren’t suitable, we advise using gentle, hydrating skincare and avoiding makeup, strong exfoliants, or direct sun exposure for at least 48 hours.
How Many Session will I Need?
Results very depending on skin concerns, but typically we would recommended a course of 4 - 6 sessions with 2 weeks apart. Maintenance sessions are recommended 4 times per year.
