Manicure/Pedicure

 To ensure your nails stay looking lovely for 2-3 weeks we would recommend you follow the below.


  • Where protective gloves, when gardening, doing housework, using household chemicals
  •  Apply cuticle oil daily 
  •  Use hand/foot cream regularly
  •  Never use a metal file  
  • Take care when using suntan oil/insect repellents as they can cause damage to the gel polish 
  • Some gel polishes may fade in chlorinated water and when exposed to sunlight - wash your hands after 
  • You can apply nail polish over the Gel polish, but use acetone FREE when removing 
  • If you pick or peel off your extensions/gel polish you WILL cause damage to your natural nail.

 While a lash lift is a very low maintenance treatment, a little extra care is important within the first 24 hours after treatment.  

 

  • Do not get your lashes wet for the first 24 hours 
  • You can use saunas, hots tubs and steam treatments after 24 hours as these may weaken the effect of the lift, so avoid heat if you want long lasting lashes 
  • Do not rub your lashes 
  • Comb the lashes upwards daily
  •  Swimming in chlorinated pools should be avoided for 24 hours after treatment 
  • Use a lash conditioner daily
  • Do not use harsh products on your eyes/lashes 
  • Do not wear make-up on your eyes for 24 hours  
  • Avoid waterproof mascaras 
  • Do not schedule a facial for the next 24 hours after your lash lift 
  • Avoid sleeping on one specific side for the next 24 hours 
  • Sunbathing and UV light which can cause the tint to lighten 
  •  Lash lifts require maintenance every 4-6 weeks, however depending on your natural lash cycle it could be 6-8 weeks

Ear Hopi Candle

 Ear Hopi candling is a very safe therapy however the following could occur during or after your treatment.  The below are all part of the healing process.  

The symptoms will pass and are an evident sign that your treatment has been beneficial.


  • Crackling of excess wax 
  • Feeling of fullness in the ear
  • Increased urination due to stimulation of circulation 
  • Increased thirst due to increased urination
  • Increase or changes in bowel movement 
  • Headache due to the elimination of waste
  • Increase in mucus from nasal passages as sinuses are draining following facial massage
  • Change in sleep pattern  - usually better
  • Increased appetite due to increase of metabolic rate 
  • Increased sensitivity in terms of emotions
  • Feeling of tiredness, often leading to feeling revitalised
  • Relief of stress and tension in muscles and joints 

  • Temporarily impaired hearing 


After your treatment we would recommend you follow the below:

  • Drink plenty of water to aid flushing out toxins 
  • Avoid eating a large meal for several hours as the body needs energy for healing
  • Avoid smoking
  • Avoid alcohol, tea and coffee
  • Rest
  • Avoid swimming for two days
  • Reduce dairy products, as they can cause excess mucus

 After your massage treatment your mind and body are in a relaxed state. To ensure you receive the maximum benefits from your treatment please follow the below:


  • Avoid alcohol for a least 24 hours as massage is a detoxifying treatment
  •  Drink plenty of water/herbal tea to assist in the elimination of toxins from the body.
  •  Eat a light & healthy diet to assist the detoxification & healing process.
  • Avoid any strenuous activities for the next 12 hours to aid you body to relax and de-stress further 
  •  Get plenty of rest. You may feel tired after treatment. 
  • Do not sit in the sun if oil has been used  (always apply SPF)
  • Take care when driving as you may feel very relaxed and sleepy

Conta-action (healing process)

You may experience any of the following reactions with 24-48 after treatment, this is your body's way of responding to the treatment.

  • You may suffer from mild headache, dizziness or nausea following your treatment - this is due to the elimination of toxins
  • Muscles may feel tired and achy
  • Fatigue
  • Increased urination

To maximise the benefits of your facial and keep your skin glowing, it’s important to follow the recommended aftercare advice. 


 

  • Keep Your Skin Hydrated – Drink plenty of water to help flush out toxins and maintain skin hydration.
  • Use Gentle Skincare – Stick to mild, non-active products recommended by your therapist.
  •  Apply SPF – Protect your skin with SPF 30+ as it will be more sensitive to UV exposure.
  •  Avoid Touching Your Face – This helps prevent irritation and the transfer of bacteria.
  • No Makeup – Let your skin breathe and absorb the benefits of your treatment.
  • Avoid Hot Showers, Steam Rooms, and Saunas – Heat can cause redness and irritation.
  • No Exfoliation – Your skin has already been deeply cleansed, so avoid scrubs or active ingredients like retinol, AHAs, or BHAs.
  •  Avoid Direct Sun Exposure & Tanning – Freshly treated skin is more vulnerable to sun damage.


Ongoing Aftercare


Stick to a Gentle Skincare Routine – Hydrating cleansers, serums, and moisturizers will help maintain results.
Use a Silk or Clean Pillowcase – This prevents bacteria buildup and irritation.
Schedule Regular Facials – For the best long-term results, maintain a consistent facial routine tailored to your skin's needs.

Waxing/Tinting

  While waxing is often performed with no adverse reactions, it can have certain side effects including heightened sensitivity, redness, tenderness, swelling, and minor bruising or slight skin removal. Side effects may last anywhere from 1-2 hours to one week, depending on your skin and the body’s reaction to the procedure.   


Avoid the following for 24-48 hours: 

  • Hot baths and showers  
  • Saunas, hots tubs, massage or steam treatments 
  • Tanning (sunbeds, sunbathing or fake tans) 
  • Swimming in chlorinated pools 
  • Heavy exercise/sweating to keep the skin clear of bacteria growth 
  • Scratching or touching the treated area with unwashed hands 
  • Applying deodorants, body sprays, powders or lotions to the treated area(s)  

If you do have any irritation you can treat the area just like any injury by applying a cold compress for the pain and swelling and applying an antiseptic cream to soothe and protect the skin, you can do this regularly for 3 days following your appointment.

Ensure you always wash your hands before applying any products. To prevent ingrown hairs , starting a few days after your appointment and then continuing a couple of times each week, gently exfoliate the areas you get waxed with a dry brush or exfoliating mitt. 

Moisturise everyday to keep the skin supple and help new hairs grow normally. Don't exfoliate to much or be too rough as this can graze the skin and cause ingrown hairs. 

After a week or so you may start to notice a small amount of re-growth.  It can take up to 4 treatments for your hair to get on a growth cycle that will give you the best results.  

We would recommend regular waxing every 4-6 weeks

Back Facial

 To maintain the benefits of your back facial and keep your skin looking its best, please follow these aftercare guidelines :


Avoid the following for 24-48 hours:  

  • Hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, or sunbeds
  • Exercising or sweating excessively, as it can clog freshly cleansed pores
  • Applying perfumed products or harsh body scrubs on the treated area
  • Wearing tight-fitting clothes that may rub or irritate the skin 
  • Waxing or shaving the back area


Do the following: 

  • Keep the area clean and avoid touching or scratching your back.
  • Drink plenty of water to help flush out toxins and keep skin hydrated.
  • Moisturise daily using calming products
  • Wear loose, breathable clothing to avoid irritation and allow your skin to heal.
  • Apply SPF if your back will be exposed to the sun.


Please note it is quite normal for breakouts to purge slightly after treatment, this will settle down in a few days.

Dermaplaning

  While dermaplaning is often performed with no adverse reactions, it can have temporary side effects qhich will settle in a couple of days, these include mild redness and sensitivity, dryness and tightness, tiny breakouts.


For the first 24-48 hours:

  •  Avoid touching your face to reduce risk of bacteria transfer. 
  •  Use gentle, hydrating skincare products (no harsh actives or exfoliants) 
  •  Apply SPF 30+ (your skin is extra sensitive to sun exposure) 
  •  Avoid makeup if possible (especially heavy foundation).  
  •  Keep skin hydrated with a soothing, fragrance-free moisturizer. 
  •  Avoid heat (saunas, steam rooms, hot showers) as skin may be more sensitive. 
  •  Avoid sweating heavily (intense workouts, etc.). 


Avoid for 3-5 Days

  •  No exfoliating products (AHAs, BHAs, Retinol, Vitamin C, etc.). 
  •  Waxing, threading, or other facial treatments. 
  •  Avoid swimming (chlorine can irritate freshly exfoliated skin). 
  •  Avoid self-tanners or tanning beds. 


We would recommend regular dermaplaning 4-6 weeks
