Chemical Peel Aftercare

Following your Chemical Peel, your skin may feel slightly warm, appear pink or feel sensitive. You may also experience mild dryness, tightness or flaking over the following days as your skin renews.

To support your skin following treatment and minimise irritation, please follow the aftercare advice below:

🤎 Avoid touching, rubbing, picking or peeling any dry or flaking skin. Allow it to shed naturally.

🤎 Do not apply makeup for 48 hours following treatment.

🤎 Avoid saunas, steam rooms, sunbeds and excessive heat for 48 hours.

🤎 Avoid strenuous exercise for 24–48 hours, as heat and perspiration may irritate freshly treated skin.

🤎 Avoid waxing, bleaching or skin-lightening treatments on the treated area until your skin has fully settled.

🤎 Avoid retinoids, exfoliating acids, scrubs and other strong active skincare until advised that they can be safely reintroduced.

🤎 Protect your skin from direct sun exposure and apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher every day.

🤎 Keep your skincare routine gentle, hydrating and simple while your skin recovers. Follow any personalised homecare advice provided following your treatment.

Looking After Your Skin

Do not pick, scratch or manually exfoliate any dryness or flaking following your peel. Allow your skin to renew naturally.

Your skin may be more sensitive following treatment, so avoid introducing new skincare products until it has settled.

Your Chemical Peel Journey 

For clients working towards a specific skin goal, a personalised course of 3–6 treatments may be recommended.

Treatment intervals will depend on the peel selected, your individual skin and how it responds, with your treatment plan adjusted as your skin progresses.

When To Contact Me

Temporary warmth, redness, sensitivity, dryness or mild flaking can occur following a Chemical Peel.
